During late April 2009 this photo of a field just north of Manacor was a sea of red poppies. Everytime I drove along this highway there was always lots of cars parked and the locals and tourists were taking pictures of this beautiful sight. Unfortunately this year, 2010 the local farmer has just plowed this field so we will not be seeing the beautiful red poppy blossoms this spring.
It is true that Majorca has been blessed with golden, sandy beaches, clear turquoise sea, magnificent coastline, breathtaking landscape, and ideal weather, making it the most wonderful place to live. But that’s not all. It is a superb destination for an ideal vacation. With an excellent selection of hotels, villas, car rentals, activities and attractions, you will surely be spoiled for choice. It is easy to travel to this lovely island, and it is only 2½ hours flight time from most major UK airports. We are confident that you, like ourselves, will fall in love with this island.
