During late April 2009 this photo of a field just north of Manacor was a sea of red poppies. Everytime I drove along this highway there was always lots of cars parked and the locals and tourists where taking pictures of this beautiful sight. Unfortunately this year, 2010 the local farmer has just plowed this field so we will not be seeing the beautiful red poppy blossoms this spring.
