Arenal and Can Pastilla adjoining holiday paradise.

Arenal and Can Pastilla are located in the Bay of Playa de Palma just 10 minutes journey from the Palma de Mallorca Airport. These resorts seem to blend into each other and the quality beaches are exquisite.

I have seen some really lovely luxury hotels backing onto the Playa de Palma beach area. I would say that both Arenal and Can Pastilla resorts boast a large selection of very nice hotels to choose from.

If you like market day shopping, you will really enjoy these two resorts. C’an Pastilla markets are on Tuesday, and Thursday mornings and S’Arenal are on Wednesday morning. There is also ample shopping along the promenade in both resorts.

Can Pastilla is closest to the port area of the Bay of Palma and is more popular with English visitors.

The very long, even, well maintained promenade stretches the entire length of both resorts. If you are fit, you will find that walking the full promenade or better still, the beach, will give you a really good workout. Its flat surface makes it easy for people in wheelchairs and people with prams to enjoy a lovely walk as well.

At the leisure complex in the middle of the Bay of Palma there is a crazy golf where the whole family can have some fun and a little exercise. If you need to cool off a bit, there is a superb water park in S’Arenal. There is a fascinating new additiom in 2009 and that is the Palma Aquarium in C’an Pastilla as well.

C’an Pastilla has always been popular with the British holidaymaker. It has a more international flavour in the months of February and March, as it is more populated with our German and Spanish visitors.

The younger generation flock to this resort in the summer as there are a great many night clubs and discos in this area. I guess you could call it the German answer to Magalluf. The majority of bars and restaurants are featured on the promenade with the nightclubs on the main road behind the promenade and side streets leading up to it. The nearest Golf courses are Golf park, Son Ferriol and Puntiro (between 6-10 kilometres away).

Both Arenal and Can Pastilla resorts offer many bars and restaurants. If you are looking for an evening out in a vibrant city, I would suggest a visit to Palma City which is only a five minute taxi ride away.
