Magalluf is situated on the south-west part of the island, with its adjoining resort of Torre Nova. It is approximately 30 to 35 minutes journey from the Palma Mallorca airport depending on traffic volume at time of arrival.
You can enjoy the sun on Playa Magaluf beach. This lovely long sandy beach, where many water sports are on offer, is very popular in summer months. Boat trips are also available from this beach.
You have your choice of evening entertainment in this resort, as it has a large choice of cafes, music bars, discos and night clubs.
When we are in Magaluf, we often stop in to see our friends Jo and Dean at the very popular Fountain Bar across the road from the Sol Magalluf Hotel. It’s a great place to enjoy live entertainment. The shows start at 10:00 until 12ish and the bar stays open until quite late. The nightly shows include Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Leapy Lee, Neil Diamond, Lionel Ritchie, Elvis and Drag Nite. It’s always a really fun atmosphere. I’m sure you’ll enjoy a night out at the Fountain Bar.
If you are looking for a great place to eat or relax then you should check out our friend Manilo's new restaurant. It is located opposite the Oasis Jungle Hotel on C/Galeo, across the road from the BCM Planet Dance facility. The restaurant is called Meson el Chovaleno. You will have a choice of a traditional Spanish menu or an English menu. If you have not tried the Spanish Tapas then I strongly suggest that you sample some of these typical Spanish snacks.
I have taken pictures which you can view below. To see a larger picture just click on the image and it will change to a larger size.
In fact, this resort is known for being the liveliest, thumping party town of Mallorca during the months of July and August. So, if you plan to holiday during these months, and you want to let loose and be a party animal, this is the place for you.
Many groups choose this resort for their Hen Parties and Stag Nights. Magalluf has one of the best known Night Clubs called BCM Planet Dance, on the island featuring the most famous DJs and of course, those fun foam parties.
But wait. There’s more. Magaluf is also a Family Resort, and in the winter it is a very popular weekend resort with both English and Spanish.

Inside this café, there are restrooms where the large changing facilities and showers are located. This newly built tennis court complex is located across the parking lot from Roosters Fish and Chip and Family dining restaurant.
