Crazy Golf

I often see families enjoying themselves at the crazy golf complex in Palma Nova. It is metres away from the beach and Paseo del Mar, the promenade that runs along the beach. It is situated on the grounds between Hotel Palma Nova Palace and Hotel Palma Nova.

It has a beautiful setting with caves, wooden bridges, tropical gardens and a lovely waterfall.

This attraction has three 18 hole courses to play and is a game the whole family will thoroughly enjoy. No matter what time of year you visit Palma Nova, it’s nice to know that Golf Fantasia is open all year round.

There are many crazy golf courses in other resorts on the island.

Tennis

If you decide to take your holidays in Majorca and you are an avid tennis player, bring your racket, because Mallorca has many tennis courts to keep you happy.

There are some in resort areas and some hotels have their own courts as well.

Playa de Muro, Blueray Resort and The Pollenca Club Resort in Porto Pollensa both have tennis courts.

I’ve recently noticed the new tennis courts at Diveresport in Magaluf, across the street from Roosters Fish and Chips shop. You can rent a court here and there are showers and change rooms inside where the restaurant is.

Another popular tennis court is in Palma Nova near the highway across the way from the Bus Station. It is called Tennis Ranch and it also has a restaurant.

Horseback Riding

Our favourite ranch is Rancho Grande, who offer not only daylight riding, but midnight riding. The horses are very well taken care of and each one has their own name.

They offer horseback riding through some of Majorca’s beauty spots, line dancing and a BBQ dinner afterwards. For those who were not born in the saddle, you have the luxury of taking a ride in the Chuck Wagon. If you are feeling brave, you could try your luck on the bucking bronco horse and see how long you last. Will you be the champion of the day?

You can purchase a souvenir in the form of a video of your trip, or key-rings and posters with your photograph. There is a very nice souvenir shop on site with many horse riding items, including cowboy hats, T-Shirts. There are also souvenirs and some very funny horse-related badges.

Your children will surely enjoy the animals at Rancho Grande’s mini zoo. There is an area with ponies for the children too.

Meet the very friendly and attractive team of cowboys and cowgirls that look after you here. It’s a great party atmosphere at Rancho Grande. With over 150 horses this is one of Majorca's most popular outdoor sports activities locations.

Go Carting

If you enjoy Go Karting, you’ll be happy to know that there is a track next to the Aguapark in Magaluf. They offer Go Kart hire for all ages. It is situated next to the Ague Park in Magaluf on Carretera de Sa Porrassa. There is a music bar terrace where you can relax and enjoy the racing atmosphere.

Bird Watching

Birdwatchers will be amazed at the variety of species they will see in S’Albufuera, Alcudia. Many species stop over on their migration routes.

Hiking

If you are fit and like to hike, Majorca has many trails that you are sure to enjoy.

When we used to live in beautiful quaint village of Alaro, we saw many visitors joining up in the town square to take one of the nature hikes up the mountain to the monastery.

There are many different hiking trips available, and some seriously beautiful sights to see. So, don’t forget your camera, binoculars, and your best hiking boots.

Cycling

Cyclists love the island of Mallorca especially during the months of February, March and April. I think this is the best way to view the true glory of this beautiful lush island.

Many resorts have cyclist shops where you can rent bicycles and kit so that you can explore the island in style. In the cooler months this is another of Majorca's favorite outdoor sports activities

Renting Quads, Motor Bikes, Dune Buggies

We’ve noticed that the latest rage on the island with visitors tends to be renting Quads, Motor Bikes and Dune Buggies. We have seen this form of entertainment mainly in the resort of Magaluf, but it is sure to become popular in other resorts as well.

Water Sports

You can rent a jet ski, sail boat, or ride a banana boat, go swimming, skin diving, snorkelling, Kiteboarding or even go fishing. Whatever water sport you prefer, you can enjoy it in Majorca.

I believe that Majorca offers some of the greatest places to learn a new outdoor sports activity. When it comes to Outdoor Sports Activities, you can enjoy them all in a major way in Majorca.
