Soller Town and Puerto de Soller tourist information guide.

The hotels in Soller are lovely and in Puerto de Soller they are also very nice. I would say it would be wise to book Puerto de Soller hotels early to avoid disappointment as this is quite a popular fishing village holiday destination.

Town of Soller is situated in the north of Majorca is a lovely town that is just full of daily activity. It is situated just 3 to 4 kilometres inland from the main holiday resort area of Puerto Soller. It is surrounded by lemon, orange and olive groves. Via the toll road that tunnels through the mountain, can be reached in approximately 45 minutes (depending on traffic).

This gorgeous town is something no one should miss. In fact, it receives daily visitors that come here by way of the mountain train from Palma. This is a very popular one hour train journey and is a trip that no visitor to Majorca should miss out on. It offers some spectacular views.

So, I’ll say it again … Please, don’t forget your camera!

If you love art, you might like to visit the wonderful museum at the railway station in Soller that displays the works of Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso

Market day takes place on Saturday in the morning.

Puerto Soller

After visiting the town of Soller by train, you’ll then board the San Francisco tram that will take you down to Puerto de Soller (the resort area). I think Puerto Soller is a very picturesque fishing village that is quite active both in the daytime and at night.

There are two nice beaches in here and there are many bars, cafes and restaurants along the promenade. You can find some lovely pottery and crafts here. Boat trips are available from the harbour to several destinations.

The nearest Golf course is Son Termens approximately 20 kilometres away from Soller.
