Torrenova a nice lively resort with plenty on offer.

Torrenova is the headland area between Magaluf and Palma Nova. It is easy to find midrange (affordable) hotels and cheap hotels (more affordable) in this resort, all offering a variety of options to their customers (bed and breakfast, half-board, and full-board). Some hotels are situated within the resort and some are close to the gorgeous beach.

As with Magaluf, the travel time from the Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 30 minutes, depending on the traffic at the time of your arrival.

When my mother and sister visited Mallorca, they absolutely loved the Platja de Son Maties beach at Torrenova. This beach runs in between Magaluf/Torrenova and Palmanova and it is a real sun trap and kept very clean. Like most of the beaches in Majorca, it offers soft golden sand and clear aqua marine waters. It is in a sheltered bay and gets quite busy in summer months. This beach is popular with water sports enthusiasts and sun worshippers alike.

Torrenova Promenade

Son Maties beach has a very nice flat promenade that runs the full length of the beach towards Palmanova. There are many restaurants where you can take a break from the sun and enjoy lunch or liquid refreshments. I just love sitting in the cafes here, as there are some shaded areas where you can feel a lovely cool breeze on a very hot day, and it is so relaxing sitting by the sea. There is a small shopping area just behind these restaurants.

I find that there are a few streets in this resorts that are fairly undulating, although the beach promenade and adjacent streets are quite flat. If you have mobility problems or children in pushchairs, I would suggest booking a hotel closer to the flatter areas of this resort.

This resort offers a great selection of bars, restaurants and there are many very nice souvenir, leather goods, clothing, jewellery, and shoe shops in and around Torrenova. If you have booked into a self-catering hotel there is a supermarket in Torrenova as well.

Thats me resting after visiting clients in Magaluf and Torrenova

Our friend, Marina, has a very large Souvenir/T-shirt shop (Regalos Marina) located underneath Poco Loco. She has a really good selection of tasteful gifts, souvenirs and t-shirts at very reasonable prices. Marina and her husband are always on the lookout for unique items to introduce to their shop. So, if you are looking for an unusual gift or souvenir, why not browse Marina’s shop. You’re sure to find something you’ll like.

There are many English food restaurants in this resort. Our friend John-John and his family own a bar/restaurant in this resort called East Enders where you can have a wonderful English Sunday Dinner with all the trimmings.

In my opinion, Torrenova is a great holiday resort because it is located between Magaluf (lively) and Palma Nova (quieter), so you’ll get the best of both worlds.

I have many pictures of this area and I have included a few below.
